Supply of Optocore systems – AUDITIV

One and a half million people gathered at the beginning of August 2023 at Parque Tejo to watch the most important celebrations of the 37th World Youth Day, in a unique event in logistical and audiovisual terms.
For this event, the experienced Portuguese company auditory  was responsible for capturing, amplifying and distributing sound on the Tagus Stage. This distribution included the delivery of signals to the Host Broadcast (RTP) in a multitrack format and also to the 109 delay towers spread across the 1Km2 of venue.
For this purpose, a two-loop system was set up. Optocore with DiGiCo tables and racks, and a third ring for interconnections between the two loops and the TV Compound.
All signals were transported from the stage on Optocore devices - some inserted into DiGiCo consoles, others operating autonomously. Optocore modules were extensively used to share and deliver MADI signals via Optocore M12 switches and an additional DD4MR-FX for bi-directional exchange of MADI signals between the racks and the mobile studio.
Daniel Bekerman of Auditiv said: “We chose Optocore for its proven reliability and were completely satisfied with the systems and their performance.”
This is not the first time that Optocore has been involved in the Pope's visit to a "World Youth Day". In 2016, its networks were widely deployed in two locations in Poland – in Krakow and Brzegi.
